The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Sumy, Shostka, and Konotop districts.<\/p>\n<p>The enemy carried out more than 10 guided aerial bomb (KAB) strikes, up to 20 VOG grenade drops from UAVs, up to 20 MLRS strikes, and also conducted FPV drone and UAV attacks on the territory of Sumy region.<\/p>\n<p>In the Druzhba community, a 62-year-old man was injured as a result of an enemy drone strike.<\/p>\n<p>Objects of civilian infrastructure were damaged or destroyed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>in the Druzhba community, a private residential house was damaged;<\/li>\n<li>in the Putyvl community, private residential houses and a vehicle were damaged;<\/li>\n<li>in the Shostka community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The day before, yesterday evening, Russian forces struck the Putyvl community with two drones. Houses and a vehicle were damaged. The enemy strikes caused a fire. During the work of rescuers, there was a threat of repeated strikes, so operations had to be suspended. Nevertheless, the fire was eventually extinguished.<\/p>\n<p>On August 31, in the Khutir-Mykhailivska community, Russian forces struck a civilian man. A 64-year-old man was riding a moped when the enemy attacked the vehicle. Medics were unable to reach the scene immediately due to the threat of repeated strikes. \u201cThe man rode out to meet them. Despite the danger, the emergency medical team still managed to reach the injured person,\u201d the Regional Military Administration reported.<\/p>\n<p>Also on Sunday, the enemy shelled the village of Studenok in the Esman community twice. These were FPV drone strikes at around 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. As a result of the attacks, two houses were almost completely burned down and another was damaged. No people were injured.<\/p>\n<h3>Situation on the border with the Russian Federation<\/h3>\n<p>The situation on the front line in the Sumy direction on August 30:<\/p>\n<p>The Defense Forces of Ukraine achieved successes in the area of the village of Yunakivka.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Russian forces made no progress in advances or assault operations, as the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled all attacks. Enemy troops are present in the following communities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Khotin community: Novomykolaivka, Oleksiivka, Vodolahy, Kindrativka, Kostiantynivka, Zhuravka, Bilovody, Stepne, and Andriivka;<\/li>\n<li>Yunakivka community: Yablunivka, Varachyne, Basivka, Yunakivka, Sadky, and Loknia;<\/li>\n<li>In the Krasnopillia community, Russian troops are present in the villages of Mariine and Prokhody;<\/li>\n<li>In the Myropillia community, only in Oleksandriia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Russia failed to advance in Sumy region despite offensive actions, according to ISW. Ukrainian forces counterattacked near Yunakivka.
