The 1st All-Ukrainian Theatre Festival \u201cGolden Suitcase\u201d became one of the most high-profile events in the cultural life of the regional center in 2010 and attracted increased attention from the theatrical community. The Sumy theatre audience was presented with works by a number of leading Ukrainian theatres:<\/p>\n

– Kharkiv State Drama Theatre named after T.H. Shevchenko \u2013 the play \u201cCello\u201d;
\n– Free Theatre (Kyiv) \u2013 the play \u201cSuch Free Butterflies\u201d;
\n– Zaporizhzhia Municipal Theatre-Laboratory \u201cVIA\u201d \u2013 the solo performance \u201cOn the Edge\u201d;
\n– Kyiv Academic Young Theatre \u2013 the play \u201cUncle Vanya\u201d;
\nSumy Drama and Musical Comedy Theatre named after Shchepkin \u2013 the play \u201cA Game of Love\u201d;
\nSumy Theatre for Young Audiences \u2013 the play QUO VADIS.<\/p>\n

The 2nd All-Ukrainian Theatre Festival \u201cGolden Suitcase 2011\u201d promises to become an equally bright event in the life of Sumy region and the entire Ukrainian cultural space. Festival dates: November \u2013 December 2011.<\/p>\n

For the second year in a row, \u201cGolden Suitcase\u201d is held with the support of the Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, Yurii Chmyr<\/strong><\/p>\n

November 27<\/strong> \u2013 Theatre for Young Audiences (Sumy) \u2013 the spectacular comedy by Yaroslav Stelmakh \u201cBeloved Unloved\u201d, festival opening.<\/p>\n

November 28<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cSilver Island\u201d Theatre (Kyiv) \u2013 \u201cNatasha\u2019s Dream\u201d, a drama based on the play by Yaroslava Pulinovych.<\/p>\n

December 1<\/strong> \u2013 Municipal Theatre \u201cVerim\u201d (Dnipropetrovsk) \u2013 \u201cThe Seagull\u201d, an attempt at a comedy based on Anton Chekhov\u2019s play \u201cThe Seagull\u201d.<\/p>\n

December 2<\/strong> \u2013 Shchepkin Drama and Musical Comedy Theatre (Sumy) \u2013 \u201cThe Parisian Woman\u201d, a comedy based on the play by Robert Lamoureux.<\/p>\n

December 6<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cFree Fly\u201d Theatre (Sumy) \u2013 \u201cThe Laughter of the Lobster\u201d, a play in two acts based on the play by J. Marrell.<\/p>\n

December 8<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cOn the Sidelines\u201d Theatre (Kharkiv) \u2013 \u201cOnly One Life\u201d, a dramatic story based on Mara Baydzhiev\u2019s play \u201cDuel\u201d.<\/p>\n

December 14<\/strong> \u2013 National Academic Theatre of Russian Drama named after Lesya Ukrainka (Kyiv) \u2013 JULIA@ROMEO.com (Norway.Today) based on the play by Igor Bauer\u0161ima.<\/p>\n
