A Sumy resident won gold at the Ukrainian Tennis Championship
A trainee of the MSK “Tennis Academy,” Matvii Lemishko, played in the mixed doubles final at the Ukrainian Tennis Championship among athletes under 14.
Paired with Anna-Adelina Nykyforuk from Kolomyia, the Sumy athlete competed in the final match against Lviv players Mykola Hrabar and Anastasiia Rodyk.
The pair including Matvii defeated the Lviv opponents in three sets and won the gold medals.
Sumy athletes Denys Tarasenko and Kateryna Solovei also competed in the mixed doubles, but were eliminated in the first round.
