On April 21, “Zazhynok” gathered at the Regional Universal Scientific Library after a long break. The Saturday before last was left free due to Easter, and the previous one due to Provody. Therefore, the interval between meetings turned out to be quite long.

One of the key issues raised before us was the presentation of the almanac “Slobozhanshchyna”. After its publication, all we managed to organize was a small apartment gathering. By the way, due to the fact that many “Zazhynok” members became victims of the flu virus after that date, we were able to see some of them only today.

The issue of printing was also discussed. As it turned out, in Sumy there is an opportunity to print a book in one or two copies. Such an option is very appropriate, since publishing houses usually print no fewer than a hundred copies. And that is a significant expense, which many people cannot afford. However, even here it is necessary to find out about the possibility of obtaining an ISBN code, since otherwise the book is considered self-published.

As for the creative work of the participants, there are also changes and news. Thus, Olena Makarchuk is finishing work on the theme of war and is beginning to collect works about the difficult fate of children (for example, orphanhood). Anna Verkhovtseva is organizing an event that will take place tomorrow at SMuHa.

Of course, there are no sensational news in the studio yet. But let us hope that soon a new stage of development awaits the “Zazhynok” members. After all, one cannot stand still, especially when it comes to a group or a project. Moreover, we should not forget that “Zazhynok” is the only studio in the city that operates under the auspices of the local organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, before which we have no right to disgrace ourselves.
