“Agrobusiness TSK” is an example that today in our region it is possible to grow yields comparable to those in Israel and other countries of the world or Europe. As early as 2013, it is planned to double product yields without increasing the cultivated area. This conclusion was reached by the company’s specialists together with their German colleagues. In addition, the irrigation system will operate across the entire territory of the company where vegetables are planted. A year ago, the irrigation system covered only one-tenth of these lands. “The system will operate at full capacity. All 500 hectares will be irrigated. Therefore, regardless of weather conditions, we will have a large harvest,” emphasized the head of LLC “Agrobusiness TSK,” Hennadii Svirskyi.
The management and specialists of “Agrobusiness TSK” constantly work on improving soil fertility, increasing yields, and the economic development of the farm. Today, the enterprise has a modern machinery and tractor fleet as well as computerized equipment. Considerable attention is paid to the quality of the varieties grown in the fields of “Agrobusiness TSK.” These are currently the best varieties from the Netherlands and Germany. “Already in the spring of 2013, we plan to conduct an experiment in potato cultivation. Under the conditions created at the farm, we intend to plant Ukrainian potato varieties—the best achievements of domestic breeding,” noted the company’s head. The results of this experiment can be evaluated by how each variety takes root, what the yield will be, and how well the product will be stored. Spring 2013 is also expected to be decisive for varietal potatoes of this year’s harvest. The best varieties will be planted in the fields.
The company’s employees play an important role in its development. Hennadii Svirskyi is confident that personnel decide everything. Therefore, he keeps his promise to increase the number of jobs in the region. First and foremost, residents of local villages are provided with jobs. In 2012, the number of permanent employees at the company increased by 130. In addition, more than 500 people were involved in seasonal work. “We could have purchased machinery that would replace several dozen people. But we decided to hire people and pay them wages,” the management notes. Thanks to the skillful leadership of Hennadii Svirskyi, even lands abandoned by villagers have regained their fertility. In the Nedryhailiv district, the company has leased more than 5,000 hectares of land that had not been cultivated for a long time, brought them into proper condition, and achieved high yields within two years. Grain crop yields amounted to 78.7 centners per hectare, potatoes—360 centners per hectare, and sugar beet yields—the highest in the history of the district—502 centners per hectare. LLC “Agrobusiness TSK” has begun the revival of domestic vegetable production through the introduction of the latest, most advanced energy-saving technologies.
