In Sumy region, rescuers extinguished a fire in the residential sector (video)

On September 2 at 01:54, a report was received on the 101 emergency line about a fire in a residential building on 5th Kolektyvna Lane in the city of Konotop. A duty crew of the 15th State Fire and Rescue Unit was dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, it was established that the fire had engulfed the roof over an area of up to 21 sq. m, the ceiling over an area of up to 5 sq. m, and the walls over an area of up to 10 sq. m. There was a threat of further spread of the fire to the entire residential building and a nearby outbuilding. To ensure an uninterrupted water supply for firefighting, fire tankers had to be refilled from a fire hydrant.

At 02:12, the fire was localized, and at 03:25 it was completely extinguished.

It is worth noting that similar incidents occurred the previous day in the city of Romny and in the village of Richky in the Bilopillia area.
